The Center for Applied
Nursery Research is hosting another topical meeting – this time on conifers!
The conference will take place in Watkinsville, GA at the Oconee County Civic
Center on Friday & Saturday, May 23–24, 2008. A pre-tour of Piccadilly Farms,
located in Bishop, GA as well as the State Botanical Gardens in Athens, GA
will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2008. The pre-tour will end with a
reception in the Conservatory at the Botanical Gardens. A post-tour of Cox
Arboretum, Canton, GA, and the Smith-Gilbert Arboretum, Kennesaw, GA will be
held on Sunday, May 25, 2008. The conference will offer nationally known
speakers, live & silent plant auctions, vendor displays, book signings, and
great meals catered by Trumps, Athens, GA. We’ll even have live music by Plan
B during the Thursday evening reception. Proceeds from the plant auction &
sale will be used to fund future research grants.
This event will bring
together an array of people representing many different facets of our industry
including nurserymen, landscapers, retailers, avid gardeners and professionals
from all over the country.
